Holiday Shenanigans

November 27, 2011

The book I’m writing is about my experience with caring for my Grandpa, this was the first big holiday without him and it brought back some fantastic memories.

In his chair at the head of the table, sat my husband. The head of the household had officially changed over this holiday season. My heart swelled with emotions – love joy sorrow – I miss my Grandpa but I know his pain is gone. Grace be to God. His memory is back and the limitations of his Earthly body are restored.

I’m familiar with this heightened feeling of loss during the holidays. So sorry for the passing of your grandfather. Hold tight to those precious memories of him this holiday season.
