Tattered Treasure

November 23, 2011

Tattered and forgotten in the midst of a life long lived. I find you, frayed and used; you fill my empty with undying love.

The void within overflowing with a grace that I’ve been waiting a lifetime to enter my heart. Opening.

Seventy seven years you have graced our family unit, uniting love and making sense of a world nonsensical.

A gift to whomever uncovered your cover. From mothers mother ripped paper.

Found nestled and cozy, embraced in the tattered leather. Found and never again forgotten.

The treasure found is my Grandma’s Bible.

Truer words were never spoken! A wish for the Universe to get well soon. You can check in but you can never check out; like “Hotel California”.

Ha! Yes Jim, welcome to the hotel…
